Knew it as soon as the whistle blew in the UH loss. Wrong time for a second half collapse. That half kept SMU out of the NCAA tournament. That said, there is no way I see this team being motivated and focused enough to make an NIT run.

Yeah, this just might be a "too soon" thread. I get that. Interesting, though, how character is being revealed by disappointment on this board. I hope the frustration on the team results in a deep NIT run, if not win out - with that much more of a chip on the shoulder for next year no matter what.

How about SMU fan, and to be one, you need a sense of humor. You younger posters need to realize, you give the NCAA a chance to screw SMU, they will. Our fault, we have to be better. By losing to Houston we gave them a reason to screw us, and they did it.
No Surprise.
It is what it is. Don't hate because I called it. I said we beat Houston we are in, we Lose, Hello NIT.
Let's just go kick [deleted] and fill Moody for the NIT.

I bet shadowman threw a party once we got snubbed. He's just giddy with glee. Pathetic and typical of the loser mentality that unfortunately makes up a lot of our fanbase.

Being in the NIT is a disgrace. I would have rejected the bid and start practicing for next year's national championship run. Best thing is a chip on our shoulder.

Disgrace is pretty harsh. The NIT selection committee saw it fit to make us a number 1 seed. Maybe we should just pout though about the NCAAs and go home?
