Just curious, how could you possibly know which team people will be rooting for based on online, phone and walk up sales? Was LSU provided a different number/link on their site? Otherwise, unless the sales person asked during each purchase, it's impossible to know.

I may be Fan #1501, but I bought 4 tickets to this game and am giving them away to a few SMU fans who were ecstatic that I had a surprise ticket for them. I bought them as soon as the last game was over to prevent lsu fans from swooping in. I may not be one of the initial "1500 fans" previously discussed on the boards, but I'm working my best to drown out the small showing of lsu fans tonight!
Look forward to cheering with all y'all and yelling my voice out like I did last week!

With the quick sellout, I would be really surprised if the LSU count is only 1K. They have a ton of alums in Dallas.
I suspect a lot of the scalping community got their hands on those tickets, and that LSU folks will buy them. I hope that we see less than 2K LSU fans at the game, but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it is that or more.
If we really had a 24 hour sellout that is significantly in SMU's favor that would be absolutely incredible.

They usually show up in Tuscaloosa with maybe 250 at a BB game, but with many alums in this area there could be a 1,000. I'll be shocked if that many surface???

I just think it is impossible for them to get 1,000 tickets. 4,500 season tickets, and, in talking to athletics, they were almost unanimously renewed for this game. 1,500 tickets go to the school for faculty and student seating, family, media, Romo, etc. That's 6,000 out of 7,000 seats right there. I know several others who bought additional tickets including some that bought blocks of tickets.
Now I know there were stubhub sales, but I know SMU fans bought some of these too. If there are 750 LSU fans in attendance, I would be completely shocked.

Houston unfortunately has the most LSU alums outside Louisiana.......... and it isn't even close.

Houston's is the largest outside of Louisiana and DFW's is the second largest...
At least that's the way I read it. No idea if that's true.

I'd say no doubt about it that LSU's top 3 alumni bases (outside of BR) are New Orleans, Houston, and DFW. Houston more than Dallas but DFW is right there in the conversation.

With how fast it sold out, I am expecting more than 1000 LSU fans. If less, great, really doesn't matter, but they will be heard. It could very well
be the most raucous crowd of the year, being that there will be cheers no matter who scores.
This is going to be fun tonight!

So who are the top two if you think Dallas is not in their top 2?

Some reported as many as 2500-3000 tickets in the hands of LSU fans, could be wrong, but I'm preparing for a huge away crowd
