Nt game a barometer? What if NT beats SMU and goes undefeated or loses one or two games? Would that still be a barometer? The point is this is a new season and we should go into every game with a plan and the desire and belief to win. Otherwise you may get beat by some supposedly easy teams and lose to some better teams that turn out to not be very good...like UT last year.

Rest assured JJ has already "penciled in" the outcomes of some of the games............

The bold part is the part where I think we have consistently failed and is the fundamental difference between LB and JJ. JJ instilled an attitude that we can win as a program. Until they believe they SHOULD beat anyone they come up against, we will never see the kinds of quality wins we need to take the next step on a consistent basis. No more of this "stealing wins" or "pencilling in" BS mentality. Go in, get it done. Just don't think JJ instills that in our team. LB on the other hand has his guys expecting to win every game; hope the football team is watching and taking notes.

I am in NYC, and getting ready to walk over to Madison Square Garden … but I just posted a new football story on the home page.

Check it out, discuss on the board, share it with every PonyFan you know!
