Because they're "below" SMU? I don't get it either but people really dislike Baylor and Waco.

I don't really understand most of the hate, but I do like anything that bumps SMU up the pecking order in Texas sports. So many people, even in Texas, are completely oblivious to SMU's existence.

As for Waco, it's a bit boring but pretty similar to thousands of other small-ish cities around the nation.

Plus, some of the older guys are still pretty sore about the whole SWC/Big 12 "thing". Baylor is generally looked at as the "lesser evil" as far as that group of teams is considered though.

I don't like Baylor primarily because their president is a slimy scum bag. That, and the whole religious thing.

The only reason to LIKE them is the religious thing. They have some conviction in a world of crazy.

Otherwise they are pretty worthless, average school in a really bad town. No idea why anyone would pay top dollar to spend four years in boring town for average education.

I just think scandal when I think about Baylor hoops. They, and everyone else probably think the same thing about our football program so I can't point fingers, but there must still be stuff going on in that department, there just has to be.
