Well actually it does happen every year. Just not with SMU.

I've made that drive a few times. I drive very fast, and it cant be done in less than 24 hours of straight driving. By bus I'd say a minimum of 30 hours drive time, and that's without stopping for anything but gas. You would need multiple drivers, clear roads, and I still don't think a bus that left Wednesday morning would mAke it there by game time Thursday.

Touché. What does not happen is SMU vying for a championship game in basketball. That '56 Final Four was a few thousand moons ago. Give the students a break to witness something special that may never happen again in their lifetime.

And he acknowledges it is a crab but that it has morphed into a lobster.
