Unlike in football, beating a bad team in b-ball can actually hurt you.
You sound just like them in regards to football.
It's our number 1 rivalry. We should play them every year in every sport regardless of recent standing. It's all cyclical anyway.
It was a somewhat tongue in cheek comment because i'm fully aware of what they say about us in football, thus my comment. Nevertheless, I say "SOMEWHAT" because there is some merit in what I am saying with regards to b-ball and the impact it has on the almighty SOS. in football, you can beat on a weakling and it can help you if you do so convincingly.

All true, but personally I'd like to be able to repay them in bball for the [deleted] pounding they hand us in football every year. Gotta have some sort of bragging rights

Agreed. Plus we are usually somewhat competitive with them in football. They are no longer competitive with us in bball, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
I also find it interesting that you are indeed correct about football SOS but most on here think it's sacrilegious to advocate for an easier OOC in football.
Looks like they had to settle for the best team in the area to help them out. And since SMU is in NYC playing for a championship, SMU wasn't available. Sucks being good and missing out on being a 'show pony' for the Big Dance.
So TCU is basically a scout team? This confirms what we already know.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I will always want to play them and beat them. We need to remind local recruits that we are better than them and beating them is the best way instead of just saying we are better and not playing them. Ohio State and Kansas can get away with the 'we aren't playing local teams because we have nothing to gain' but we need to remind everyone in the area that we are better.
