Ah- so they consider the value of full tuition scholarships to student-athletes as a "subsidy" to the athletic dept for revenue purposes? That's...interesting.

Also, no surprise that Big12Mustang has no [deleted] clue what he's talking about (again).

I think I remember reading where we lose around $5M/year or more on athletics.

That doesn't address the fact that Rice, Tulane and Tulsa's revenues are way below ours...significantly below.

If we use your logic, then TCU, Northwestern and Vanderbilt are considering their scholarships as revenue...

I'm just going to let you figure this out because I know the answer already. Have fun.

You fail to realize that this is talking about REVENUES, not EXPENSES!

Oh sorry, I didn't realize we had Mr. All Knowing here. You are a ball of negativity. Any bit of good news that separates us from the rest, you always try to find a way to put us down. June Jones recruiting better? "OH that's not adjusted on Rivals yet, wait until they check the offers and they will be 2 stars...we suck"

That is you, Stallion. Negative. You don't bring anything of value, only conflict, to this board.

Back to the topic at hand, I found it interesting that Kansas is the #3 program by revenue in the Big 12. Looks like basketball brings in a ton of dough to their coffers.

Maybe Stallion's theory about their budgetary subsidized tuition comes into play here...oh wait! Isn't KU a public school? Never mind

You figure $250K/athlete and that's one hell of a subsidy!

SMU Fans: Negativity is the norm, and good news are a disruption to the norm. No wonder we get no respect from anyone...we don't respect ourselves.

And this is supposed to be a "fan forum". It feels more like an asylum full of broken dreams and have beens...
