The only school with worse QB problems might be the Longhorns. Ash already out for next week.

Is there room in the Big East for a D-1 (non-football) program?

Matt Davis looked best. O line was out of sync and offense play calling was horrible.

The QB situation is why I could really see a season collapse especially if we don't beat NTSU this week. Big game for June Jones. We are looking at 0-6 without a victory in Denton. At that point do we even get off the mat with the poor AAC teams

Who would you start against NTSU?
Burcham looked ok when he had a little time. Davis never really got much of a chance, cause Baylor was teeing off by the time he got in.
Given what Jones said post game about Davis, he lost his spot by trying to compete and make something happen. Too bad. While I am not anti Burcham, I think Davis could provide more spark and give defenses more to think about.

I would expect JJ to rotate the QBs until someone shows they can move the ball against UNT. if we can't, then it really is possible JJ leaves SMU the same way he arrived...winless

Davis is the better athlete, for sure, with more upside.
Burcham can't really escape and looked like he had a noodle arm..
But it's impossible to tell from last night. One mis'sippi, two mis'sippi, jailbreak...

Burcham's arm is just fine. His accuracy is very good. His mobility does not compare to Davis. Until Davis learns the offense you need to have Burcham. But Davis did appear to have a much greater edge in athleticism. Although not much could be told last night I think that Davis will probably end up as #1 but not until "preseason" is over.

June said in the post game - "Davis isn't ready for what we are doing" - so I am not sure we'll see him again for a while.
If he isn't ready, why did they play him for large chunks of the game?
Perhaps because the others also weren't ready.
June does what June does, never much sense to it.

Cashing a check for $2 mil a year with little effort required makes perfect sense to me, who wouldn't take that job.

I guess I'm in the camp that finds it useless to complain non-stop about JJ. If he's back, I'm gone (for FB). While I don't give big money, I do max out on season tickets so if enough guys like me say see ya maybe (but perhaps not likely) they'll take the hint.

Sorry. I'm not with you on this.

I should take your attitude but I find it therapeutic to vent. I didn't expect to be this mad about the game.

Totally understandable and you're a great fan. I personally don't see the point.

Given the performance of the QBs that played, perhaps Colbert had the best performance, he didn't have negative rushing yards, and 0 yds per pass is pretty close to 1 or 2.
