True this and with an epic documentary coming out on the life and times of June Jones...why spend time with mere mortals?

So, would you say investing my life savings into the June Jones movie was a bad move?

Maybe so... ...for those who don't know..here is the link and coming soon to a Drive in near you:

So what do you suggest should be done about the problem?

Well, I kind of asked LA that on another thread. But here goes.

Unless we go 0-6 or something, I give JJ the full year. This year only. In the meantime I'm putting enormous effort into finding the guy who takes us to that next level.

I asked how good DeMarkus Lodge really was and then asked how often they hear from SMU. I wish you could have seen the facial expressions. Another proud Pony moment. Lazy and arrogant were two of the descriptions I heard.

Another proud moment: At [deleted]'s sporting goods in Frisco, the only other local school's gear displayed along with the Big 12? North Texas. (Not a slam at SMU marketing. JJ's product is so bad, why would a store stock it?)

I am kind of surprised "Woody's" made it through. :D

I wish a reporter would ask June Jones in a press conference to name the head coaches at Desoto, Cedar Hill, Guyer, Allen, Trinity, Southlake Carroll, Abilene, Lake Travis, Katy, SOC, Mansfield high schools, Skyline, Gilmer, John Tyler, Westlake and a dozen other top schools with big-time recruits and see how many he can rattle off. Other head coaches know them on a first name basis and exchange text messages and weekly contacts congratulating coaches on wins and pretending to ask them for help or advice which really boosts those high school coaches egos.

Fair enough.

The head football thinks of himself as a living legend and isn't but acts like it but the head basketball coach is a living legend and doesn't act like it. And even interacts with the students on campus and may know more area high coaches than the football coach with much less time in Dallas.

I think you summed up the situation very well.

I believe the Star-Telegram did a poll of HS Coaches on what Teams came to their school, and how rating the Teams on various metrics. From what I remember TCU was most present across the DFW and received high marks, other top B12 schools did as well. SMU was down on the list, and was perceived as distant.

The recent up tick in Houston recruits is good, but how hard is it to drive around the loop?
