he does a nice job of shielding the defender with his body; made some nice back shoulder catches

Caught a couple of passes for 27 yards according to the radio announcers.

He's got something our other receivers don't have - SIZE. Also watched him block on running plays and he did a good job actually finishing blocks for a receiver. I think he'll earn a lot more minutes this year.

Yes he did play and had a couple nice catches. More importantly he is a big fluid athlete with a defensive players attitude (played both WR & Safety in HS). Watched him on one particular run play where he mixed it up at the line with the corner, and then ran down field and pancaked the safety at the end of the run.
Redshirt burned. Mason said he is looking for the best 11 guys to get on the field so might as well make this guy one of our starting outside receivers RIGHT NOW. The quicker we scrap the 4 mini receiver sets and the R & Sh*t the better. The constant 3 & outs, and shotgun snap run up the middle for no gain on 3rd and 1, is maddening.
He officially converted from safety to WR 2 weeks ago.

Why wouldn't he stay? The players are ecstatic about the prospects for a new coach and the potential for the future of the program.
The new staff will evaluate the players from scratch and you can be sure they will be looking for a receiver or two larger than 5'9". Sutton's prospects are very bright going forward and I'm sure he knows this very well.
It's easy for the gloom and doomer's to pile on the lack of June recruiting and say we have zero talent on this team, but that is simply not true. Guys like Sutton are proof positive.
Start with a new coach, NEW offensive SCHEME, re-evaluate all talent and put the best 22 guys on the field and we'll be fine in the AAC.

Sutton just needs to keep learning the plays and he will be a great asset to the offense

Loved what Sutton brought to the field!
The rest of our receivers can't block or get open, too small, weak and soft. But, a least they're slow!
