Agreee on Huepel. Not sure he's ready to be "the guy" yet. Good young coach though.
Back off Warchild seriously.

OU has just as good of an offense as anyone else. And he recruits the DFW area.
it wasn't exactly bad before him, he is the co-OC, not the whole OC, and has only done it for 2 years.

Who is the other Co OC?

I've heard Kirby Smart is looking and listening, he's likely headed to to a Big 4 (B1G isn't good enough) conference location (Vandy?)...but, maybe???

Dump Mack and Hudspeth, add Beatty and Spavital. Herman for #6

The Brady Hoke suggestion was good for a laugh although he may be the first one ready for an interview any day now. His handling of the QB during this weeks game should immediately remove him from consideration for any coaching job, high school included.

I think someone is going to have to eventually sit Kirby down and tell him that he's not going to get the Alabama job when Nick retires and no upper tier program even has him on their list until he proves he can succeed away from Nick Saban.

I get being confident and all but I think he thinks a little too highly of himself. The fact is, there are legitimate concerns that the defense Alabama runs isn't really even his defense. When you consider the fact the top defensive mind in college football is his boss, it's easy to see why people might think that.

I would include Pat Narduzzi - at least to talk to.
Does not have the Texas connections, but he has done a GREAT job as a coordinator and is a very good recruiter. If he was a really good leader he could hire a staff with Texas connections.
Mich St. D coordinator.

Of course, I'll add that it's easier to be picky when you're getting paid 7 figures to run someone else's defense and get the credit for it like you're the mastermind that drew it up.
