I despise tcu, but I tip my hat to them. GP is one of the best coaches in the country when it comes to getting the most out of his players. He also has the "don't let them get up once you have them down" attitude. That is the type of coach SMU needs

We should immediately eliminate all of the rumored OU assistants from our coaching search after that display.

I give the man his due. He is a top flight coach. But he doesnt always display good sportsmanship and has been known to whine a bit. I'd take him in a minute if he was available.

TCU pretty much won the lottery when they hired GP. May we be so lucky finally.

Since he has turned down offers to leave TCU, I think TCU has won more than one lottery

Perhaps if we allowed a no-consequence drug-culture we could get similar recruits as TCU!

I'm OK with that. Some TCU-style blue collar drugs would compliment the massive white collar no-consequence drug culture we have as it is.

Ah yes, I forgot that GP is the only person on this planet who knows the secret of how to take 2nd-tier Texas high school athletes and transform them into quick DEs and LBs. We must sell our souls for the secrets of this human sweat rag.

And nothing about TCU is more "blue collar" than SMU. We are near clones demographically and they do the same drugs we do, probably from the same source. GP is not going to add a breath of fresh air to our drug-culture.

They are 3-7 in conference since joining including Saturday's big win. Jury may still be out, though they're playing well at the moment.

Yet they are #9 in the country right now. I think they are doing ok.

Meanwhile we are happy that we only lost by 3 touchdowns to ECU.

Tcu has plenty of similarities to smu, but they are more blue collar than smu as a whole. Of course it's all relative. We are at one end of the spectrum so that is going to be true of the vast majority of schools you want to compare to
