Re: Homecoming Football Game Time - 7PM
It is my reunion year and our class party was scheduled for 6:00. They moved that back to 8:00. Guess the game takes a back seat. In the committee's defense, it is really impossible to plan things when the times are released so late. Who would have thought we would be playing at 7:00 in November?? There must be nothing else on tv that night?

Couldn't we ask the conference to not televise anymore of our games this season?

Our opponents might have a problem with that.

T.V. is doing us no favors this year. No one is watching these games and our fans cannot even enjoy a reasonable start time which would certainly help with attendance and at least our enjoyment of the games. I guess if we play better than we get better start times. Until then we just need to get used to breakfast on the boulevard.

Current Dallas forecast for November 15th - High of 49 and a low of 34 with a light north wind.
On the bright side, this will give me the opportunity to debut my new SMU jacket!

Naturally, now that its cold, rainy and dark out, we'll get our first night game of the year. For the season finale TV will probably move the UConn game to Christmas Eve, around midnight. And if there isnt any snow falling, they'll import some.

By the 2nd half, there will be more people on the sideline than in the stands.

Ha! I'm pretty sure Connecticut gets enough snow naturally.

Nothing new here... just wimpy, soft fans. I trully believe people search for things to complain about. Wait, did I just complain?

Or it could be that people have better things to do? We are tough to watch on beautiful day let alone when it is a little uncomfortable. Tough to blame what is going on here with soft fans. I mean, you just have to look at the basketball program to see what putting an entertaining and WINNING program can do for your attendance. But you have fun out there. The joke is on you.

Oh, I certainly agree that it is very hard to be a football fan this year. My point, was or is, soft wimpy fans is nothing new for SMU. We are full of excuses. Like, oh dear, it is not convenient for me to be a fan THIS year. I will just wait until it is convenient then claim to be a fan. Oh contraire, the joke is on you. Buck up pony fans! You make time for what is important. Also, I know I will not win this battle. You feel better?

Re: Homecoming Football Game Time - 7PM
Ch. 5 just said the HIGH temperature for Homecoming will be 37 degrees. Ch. 8 says about 8 degrees warmer but it should be chilly as a result of an unusual prolonged push of Artic cold weather caused by the remnants of Typhoon Nuri currently hitting Alaska. Apparently, Ch. 5 projects a reinforced wave of cold weather after the initial blast. Need a catchy nickname for Homecoming like
Homecalypse2014
come to think of it -couldn't be worse than recent games
Cincycalpse 2014 or
Memphiscalpse 2014
