TCU and Baylor would be the fifth and sixth best teams in the SEC West this season

Interesting-not one of the 4 playoff teams are in Sagarin Top 4. Do they use a computer pool to analyze the teams?

Such BS. Call Paul Finebaum with that garbage. Why doesn't the SEC just have their own champion and let the rest of the spares of college football play for a division 2 championship?

The lesson here is that Baylor should play at least one P5 team every year OOC. Of course winning out could vindicate them but this mess should have been avoided.

Their nonconference schedule was a lot better this year than last year!

Not quite, both seasons had an FCS opponent but Buffalo was better last year than this year and of course we're a lot worse this year than Louisiana Monroe was last year.

If both TCU & Baylor win out they will flip flop. Baylor will have the head-to-head win, they will be the true conference champ with the head-to-head win, since they are technically 'co-champs'. Minnesota is about to end the season on a 3 game losing streak (Ohio State, Nebraska, Wisconsin next 3 weeks) and they just lost to Illinois 2 weeks ago. Wanna see the weakest 7-2 team in the P5 go take a look at Minnesota's road to that 7-2 record. This should be enough to confirm that both Baylor & TCU had really weak non-conf schedules. And Baylor will close the season with tougher games against (Okie St, Tech, KState) vs TCU remaining games against (Kansas, Texas, IowaSt)

If this is what plays out, I don't see how even a TCU fan could make the case they deserve the bid with a straight face.

Nope. It is a room of 16 (15 minus an ill Archie Manning) people. Last week Jeff Long said there were some very unhappy people in the room. With the TCU/Alabama switch it would appear that this week the ones who lost their arguments last week came out ahead this week. I think there could be some real interesting swings during the last few weeks. This is definitely not a "keep winning and you keep your spot" deal. Strength of schedule is one thing but margin of victory will come into play so expect some run up scores if the opportunity arises.

The thing that amazes me is that with the exception of the Georgia game, change about 3 plays or 2 penalty calls (no I am not disputing the calls) and Arkansas who has not won a conference game in 3 years would most likely be in the top 4 right now. I really like the way the new format has put excitement into every week.

I would even put Auburn ahead of Baylor and TCU.

Mostly true, but you have to admit that TCU did play a Big 10 team, Minnesota, that now is ranked No. 25 by these so-called experts. Baylor played no one from the "Big" conferences in their OOC schedule.

I do not care if Baylor played SMU 3 times, they beat TCU. I thought we were looking for the best team. If we want the team that had the hardest schedule, then SMU needs to be considered in the running.

We could hang with Mississippi State for a while, but Florida State would cream us.
