I'm all in. I take a beating being an SMU alum, but what can you do. Yes it sucked that they lost so awfully on Saturday, but at least they had a chance to win one time this season. Better than getting blown out!
I've been around since the year the team came back from the DP, so my expectations are verrryyyyyy low.
Well, I can only hope that Turner is as embarrassed as we all are. My class was one of the "reunion years", and I was honestly shocked that SMU was able to wheedle $3 mil out of reunion year alumni given the present state of things. Other than attending the game, I wanted nothing to do with homecoming.
I love the Ponies on Saturday, but it's pretty tough coming into the office on Monday mornings when our upper management consists of two green eagles, an orange cow and me. And of course, now that everything has gone business casual, pretty much everything I own (that I can wear at the office) other than blue jeans has a Pony on it somewhere.

That redpony post about Obama was pretty ridiculous though.....made me laugh.
Ha the name June Jones makes me laugh. What was that man doing the last 3 years? I am serious. He must have been totally and unequivacally checked out. All for a slight 2 mil. Does the man have no shame? Go Mustangs!

I find it pretty enjoyable to have a good team to cheer for. I actually get pumped for the TcU games this year, and didn't even know who Smu played yesterday until right before the game.
I support this team and I believe kids are giving their best effort. Unfortunately, they are now in the habit of losing. Lombardi age many a talk about winning, and losing. WE remember the stuff about sinning but really hear his comments on losing. Winning starts long before the season. It is a shame this kids and this team didn't have the things that lead to winning drilled into them over the off season. It appears someone gave up on them long before they actually publicly gave up.
I will cheer and support this team till the end of the season. There are plenty of kids paling hard. And we get a lot of them back. The next HC has to bring a culture of winning as well as other key characteristics.
If we go 0-12, a good recruiter will say, every position is wide open and you son could start for us. Although next year don't we have that new qualifier rule where low academic freshman have to sit out a year?
