Well good for them

I've been pretty much been 100% focused on the SMU coaching change for last week

I'm fully aware of a few Classic games played in Ford as I said above and usually had a running thread on this forum about each game

The point was the fans of those schools have complained about the second class treatment received by SMU staff. I believe EJ Holland also commented about it. I definitely remember some prominent Dallas area commentators were very vocal about it. I bet I could find some examples if you want

As I said, its the perfect facility, size and location for Texas High School Football

Second class treatment by SMU campus staff, or June Jones & Co staff?

Ford as a high school venue is obsolete with the Allen Stadium set to reopen.

Stuff like no access to scoreboard, parking, security/support staff, concessions I think there was an issue about who had access to PA system. Those are the things I remember-I don't know the facts just relaying the perception by a lot of fan comments I read

Um couch 'em is not right. Allen is in BFE for any Dallasite or those south, east and west. Eagle stadium, no thank you. Let's engage the community! Step one...get them on our ridiculously beautiful campus.

Right-I emphasized location for that reason. Allen or SLC or Coppell v Cedar Hill or Desoto or -North/South games make sense in Ford not Allen

Nobody south of 190 wants to go to allen. Ford is perfect.

We should be maxed out with games with Morris standing in the tunnel to meet every 3 star or better.

Uber-supportive staff making everything available, facilities open and visible for all players, and marketing around every corner is all the recruiting you need to improve on the current image. Make it a welcome atmosphere and ensure all the perks are visible and it recruits for itself.

I agree with the last statement but I thought the word several years ago was that Ford was an expensive venue compared to other playoff locations. Am I remembering that correctly? If so, will the CofC, already so generous, subsidize HS playoff games to promote the overall program?

I also suspect that HS fans are not much interested in being bussed to the game site.
