I was on a weight gaining program since 7th grade. Sadly, it did not kick in until I hit 40.

I miss the Varsity Bookstore.

no... But this is driving me crazy.

Whatever it was looked like something out of the 50s, served ok pizza and milkshakes etc among other things. Northwest Highway and Hillcrest or so
(just realized prob talking about a different 7-11. Maybe it's where capital one is now?)

Some places in the SMU area I remember from the 2000 era (sounds so weird to say that), that I'm pretty sure are gone now:

-Double Dave's
-The Filling Station
-Ben's Half Yard House
-The barber in Hughes Trigg, was Willy his name? Nice old guy
-Two Rows (is that still around?)

No Two Rows unfortunately.

No Filling Station either.

Double Dave's is gone. Bens is a race track gas station now.

Oh, how about that "Goody Goody" liquor store on upper Greenville that looked like something off the 1950's Vegas strip with the massive light up sign on the building. That still around?

Couple more:

-El Arroyo (The Ditch)
-Place on upper greenville, west side of the road, had fried mushrooms, pictures of customers all around the walls, sports bar type place. Anyone remember? Couch 'em, we used to go there ALL the time, Byron worked there.

Joe Willies cleaned up on us with their Daily Campus coupons.

There are still a couple of those old-time liquor stores on Greenville just north of Meadow but I don't know which ones they are.

I'm still surprised Goody Goody on Lower Greenville closed.

Kip's Big Boy? Maybe the place after Kip's closed--don't recall the name though.
