Appreciate your posts HM & to your credit, you always communicated a reluctancy towards SMU signing Keith.

Man, I don't know about that. You have to understand what he represents for the Dallas community. I'm not taking shallow barbershop references. As a native Dallasite, I've genuinely grown to love the kid.

Hoopmanx fully understands what Keith represents to the Dallas community, yet he consistently said proceed with great caution.

Even if the kid or his handlers cheated their asses off (which we have no idea and may never), this kid has been a model of team first attitude and even if he never plays another second for SMU I will always look back fondly on his attitude and is one of my favorite Ponies ever.

Having said that, what can we do to get white towels out to everyone (and The Mob) to wave at games? I think this would be a great new tradition to start grounded in something meaningful. Also shows our support that everyone, no matter their background, can get an opportunity at SMU to further themselves.

What do we think?

Great idea!!!!!!! It would also be nice if his teamates would follow suit.

They did at the end of the game. At least two or three were waving them wildly. I assumed it was a thing for Keith.

I want nothing but the best for Keith, he's been an enthusiastic Mustang. A lot to like in the way he handled himself on the court and as a teammate. Unfortunately, that alone doesn't make him a match w the school and program. The baggage was profound and it was always high risk poker. There were reasons why it was us vs Tech etc. Just don't bend the program over for completely questionable characters.

What bums me is that the '15 class is the anti-Frazier, like a lesson already learned. Best retain them, cause it's a good group that will graduate

won't argue with that, but i think it's great to see that Keith has made such an impact on the fans in only 1.5 years. the fan base wants to get behind a player with his intensity, whether he's on the court on on the bench. personally, i hope he makes it back. the fans like a little personality from our players.

Hoop, is there any scenario in which Shake, Foster, and Sed could be released from their LOIs?

I cannot answer why they would want to, but if they decided they did not want to be here we would end up letting them out. There is no sense in forcing someone to play for you if they do not want to be there. We let jarred Dubois out of his signed NLI under Doherty.

Doesn't look like Shake is going anywhere. He is wearing SMU gear on his Twitter photo.

Go Ponies!

Time to move on. Wishing Keith well and hope he comes back. Let's support the team by showing up and being loud!

I agree. If anything this means a chance at more playing time for all three.
