I am not a lawyer but I am surprised they could not publish his name. I would have just quoted the email from the lawyer that mentioned his name if nothing else.
Also, people are afraid to mention his name because of retaliation on yikyak? Really?

Interesting that no one in the video immediately offered a hand to the guy that got kicked. Lots of people standing around but not really tending to the guy. Of course it happened so fast and the video itself is short so maybe they just didn't have time to react. They sure had time to react to the kicker.

And what can they do on yik yak to retaliate against someone who is quoted in the paper saying something everyone knows is true? If they say stuff about that person on yik yak won't everyone on yik yak ignore it because know they are just saying it because he was quoted in the paper giving the name of the kicker?

Don't retaliate with an asskicking, retaliate with legal action. That will hurt worse and be more problematic for him and his whole family.
