It is amazing what can happen when you have a HC, of any sport, that believes and cares for his school and loves his job.

Its not really surprising under the circumstances. Harbaugh didn't hit the job recruiting until about 2 weeks before signing date. 90% of the Top QBs were committed. I'm pretty sure there was significant interest-also pretty sure its an unusual occurrence. Both Florida and Michigan had their classes improve about 50 spaces in Team Rankings in last 2 weeks ago. They were pretty desperate and Hicks could have come in January to go through spring drills. SMU probably looked like an easy target. Michigan ended up flipping the 4 star Gentry kid from Texas after UT went after Kyler Murray and a 4 star QB from the state of Florida. Florida still hasn't found a QB after their starting QB decided to be a graduate transfer after their bowl game. They also lost out on the QB that flipped to Texas. See all inter-related among the teams desperately looking for QBs

Ben Hicks talked at length about the Michigan and Florida offers. He said that his dad called him to tell him Harbaugh had called, and that he (dad) couldn't believe it, etc. Ben went out of his way to say how flattering it was to get those two offers.

Michigan just got the Houston QB today. O'whatever.

After watching the press conference, how can you not like Coach Morris' passion for the game, our city, and our school?

What's interesting to me is to see how the likes of TCU and Baylor take classes almost entirely made up of 3 star recruits, ranked in the 30s and 40s and have top 10 programs. That's great coaching. It makes me like our chances for success even more. Give coach a full year of recruiting, get some wins, get our future classes cracking even the top 50, and with us playing in a weaker overall conference, man I like our chances of finally making some noise.
