Would that not be SWEET.
I would like to see some short term help beefing up the middle of this 4-3.
Go Mustangs.
We are running the 4-2-5
No guarantees there. Depends on fit during spring ball. Could end up more 4-3 or hybrid.

I think there may be one or two 4 star guys spread over a period of 2-4 years. With the current playoff setup, I just don't see many 4 star guys with multiple P5 offers going to a school that has basically 0 shot of getting into the playoff.
I think that trend showed up this year, in fact. According to Scout.com, all of the G5 teams combined to sign a total of 7 4 star players... 10 of the 14 teams in the SEC signed at least that many 4/5 star players.
The nice thing is that, in the AAC, we don't need 4 and 5 star players to be more talented than our conference opponents... sign a class with 15+ 3 stars most years and we'll consistently have one of the most talented teams in our league. Add good coaching to that and we'll win our league more often than not.

The 3rd in the " 4-3 ( 4-2-5 )" would be the LB/SS hybrid right?

They might adjust for lack of talent-but I've read from Morris and the DC on numerous occasions that they plan to run the 4-2-5. Based on the players signed and Morris' reference to the signing of a "hybrid Safety" that suggests the eventual plan is the 4-2-5. I think he even referenced 4-2-5 in his recruiting roundup
Yep now I remember it was in regard to the Scott twins being DEs although they originally stated they preferred being OLB (3-4)

He's mentioned 4-2-5 in several Interviews so even if it's 'flexed' a bit that's how they refer to it.

I liked the earlier idea of a 4-3-5.

I think we could pull it off. Maybe if we wore camo jerseys the refs wouldn't notice.

i think we should appeal to the NCAA to create a new rule, that all teams that have experienced the death penalty can play with 12 guys on defense. Sound good?

Former Gilmer DB Trey Washington is no longer enrolled at #SMU and Colleyville Heritage DB Myles Crosby is not listed on the SMU roster.

WR Arrius Holleman is listed on #SMU's roster. Caught 5 passes for 20 yards in 2013. 6-3, 220 will get some looks at WR/TE I'm sure.

Did Crosby "leave" to continue his modeling career?

Looks like a "bust" -he was a National Top 100 recruit ie No 21 ranked Male Model in the United States. But now I don't see him in the rankings
http://models.com/models/myles-crosby
It was never going to be difficult to hit 85-there are about 15 more that will never see the field

...he's still on the team? what is he a RS Jr or RS Sr? I remember he was recruited by Tech but came to Dallas and never did anything...but as we all know that could very well be tiki's doing. Was he injured in 2014? Need some big body receivers on the field so if he still has that 4.5, can block and has some hands he could definitely see the field more under Morris.
and that stat billy gave is wrong. He caught 2 passes for 20 yards in 2013, long of 17 yards.

We are actually going to have about 7 taller/ physical receivers including TEs on the roster which should help in the running game. Writing should be on the wall for the 7 remaining Mini-me Receivers-might want to try CB where we signed nobody. Only have 10 scholarship DBs for 5 positions plus 2 signees

Really interesting. Trey Washington looked decent at corner in practice and in the limited time he saw in games this year. Decent size. His transfer may be a sign that some of the small speed guys will cross over like Stallion has been suggesting (Lancaster, Nate Halverson).
Crosby looked the part at safety, but was buried, and that frosh coming in looks outstanding. Might mean Sutton moves back to defense as well.
Ace coming back... hmmmm. He never had a clue in June's offense. He was the laziest person out there at practice. He didn't run hard routes often. And was ALWAYS drastically out of shape. It will be interesting to see what the S&C coach does with him, if he can handle it.
Ace might be one of those guys, however, who wanted to be really competitive and couldn't handle the laid back repetition of June's practices.
Then again, they still have Holloway at 368 lbs, so the roster might not be that accurate
