Nic is a worse defender than Emelogu. I hold out real hope for Ben, cause he was damn good last year and I know several college coaches who prefer him to Mcquaid. Also, Legerald Vick is my favorite recruit in awhile, so mcquaid can go freeze his arse off

Nic's 5'8 on a step stool and at least knows what's going on. Gu gets beat like Keith last year, but no he's not nearly as lost (it'd be hard to).
I prefer Vick to McQuaid as well, but I just hope Vick makes grades.

Pretty hard not to at most reputable hoops prep schools. May have been a long shot this year, but prob fine by '16
he's what we got. If the backcourt has to play 40 minutes do they hit those 3s in the second half. Temple was 1-9 in 2nd Half from 3 point line. And the one they made was from 25 feet with a second on the clock. Same thing happened with UH and others. Those 3s don't usually fall when you got tired legs, Cincy did it-good for them- but we've rare been beaten on the 3 point line overall. Even hot teams usually cool late in the game. Just remember a good 60% of the SMU fanbase wanted to run Manuel off after the NIT final.

He has had a rough year but remember he was a good player in the acc. He is atletic and has good length for a guard, it's clear that he is just suffering from a sever lack of confidence on the offensive end. I suspect with a chance to reset this offseason and lb working with him he can get back to being a good player.
He has the physical tools, and his shot mechanics seem pretty decent. Hopefully he gets a ton of shots up this Summer. I'm not giving up on him by any means.
he had 3 rebounds an assist and a steal in 12 minutes and gave Nic, Sterling and Manuel a blow. He's the only backup to a team that starts 3 Guards. We need him to contribute-really not an option to sit him

This^. Just have to keep working and get the groove back. I think he will.
Ben is a good player. He'll be just fine. Maybe not this season, b/c its admittedly been a tough transition for him. But give him a year and he'll be OK.
We all know he's a talented kid but he's pressing and overthinking everything. We just need him to provide 10-12 minutes of sub time the rest of this year and I'm confident he'll work things out during the off-season.
