It always saddens me when we lose long time Mustang fans who did not get to see a return of SMU football to prominence before they died. I'm like mrydel and hope to see it happen before I die, (though I see he has lowered his immediate desire to something more likely to happen in the near future)...luckily, we have new hope in Chad Morris.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

greatest "Helicopter Dad" was Justin Willis's Uncle(?). He was usually dead-on with 20% of what he said (it was the other 80% that was funny). As with almost all family members-he's never been heard from again

Well put PK. You, Mrydel & Old Pony are/were 3 of my favorite posters.PK wrote:It always saddens me when we lose long time Mustang fans who did not get to see a return of SMU football to prominence before they died. Here's hoping that at least 2 of you get to see SMU FB return to prominence during your lifetimes. In the immortal words of a famous Dallasite and wanna-be Mustang, '2 out of 3 ain't bad'.
