Memphis is delusional, always has been, it is a horrible market, and they play dirty. And, Pastner needs therapy (I'm not sure for what, but he needs it).

He'll be an SMU assistant next season. Mark my words...

I would take Pastner as an assistant in a heartbeat and be happy to do so. Nguyen can't coach but he can recruit.

Delusional? Not sure how a top 20 program over the past half century can be delusional. I think we have the right to expect more than we've been delivered by Coach Gumdrop.

I would say I was shocked there were that many people who could not only write, but remember a name and password to log into a site...then I read the posts and realized the former point was not valid.

I don't think he survives this season. If the new coach can keep the brothers, he's gone.

SMU have a richer, longer sports tradition? Check (Memphis state has never done anything in football and it's basketball has been good off and on for about 30 years - on the other hand, we have 3 national championships, a heisman trophy winner, the founder of the AFL, and more NFL hall of famers combined than Memphis and now our basketball team is even better).

Any other questions morons?

Make that the past 40-50 years, but I'll give you the rest. Even though yall cheated your arse off to achieve those things. As have we though. Not to yalls extent, but still. Btw, were rated the 18th best basketball program over the past 50 years. Little bit better at sustaining success than any of your programs!

Have you ever had any basketball success that is still officially on the records? Last time I checked two of your three final four appearances got wiped away by probation.

I wouldn't go there

He is ok to make it to next year. Not only because of the brecruitingclass but also because of his contract. If next year is bad (by memphis inflated sweet sixteen or worse) he will be gone.

I was born and raised in Memphis. I know all about the history. OVER TIME, SMU has much much longer history going all the way back to the 1930s. Memphis State had a few good years with Keith Lee (who is now my high school's bball coach) and before that Larry Finch, then you had the Penny year (ok 2) and D Rose (1). About 6-7 great years total over about 40 years. Other than that, you have absolutely nothing. And your school is nothing. Every idiot I went to high school with who couldn't get into any other college program got into Memphis State because it was their "fall back" school.

SMU reminds me of Wichita state. Before the current coach, never before relevant. After the current coach leaves (or in Larry's case retires) will go back to being irrelevant. Funny thing about Wichita state though, Greg Marshall could very well be sporting Memphis gear soon..

Bad comparison. Dallas vs. Wichita? SMU vs. Wichita St? Please.

Wichita has a lot of history. And we went to a final four and had a team ranked #2 in the 80s
