If Markus comes back...We are one big away from sweet sixteen or farther IMO.

We really need a big though. And not a freshman.

If we can somehow pull of a big transfer that is available immediately. We're looking fresh to death.

I doubt Wilfong will be on the team next year.

why not? Its not like he is going to play elsewhere - and he loves SMU.

E is a 2 or 3. he will never EVER bring the ball down.

One big from a really nice mix (thought young guards can be a problem short term).

Wonder how to find a big dude at this point. Elijah messed up - aggies coach horrible and he wont advance as a player.

There is that 6-11 or 7-0 big kid at Jacksonville JC (via Trinadad and Tabago) Johnny Hamilton but he is pretty raw. Pretty consistent rebounder and looks like he blocks a lot of shots (112 blocks) but offense is inconsistent ( 9 ppg 9 rpg) although I did notice he got 18 and 14 points in recent games (to be followed by 3 points). Purported he is a good rim protector. Only about 210 pounds. I bet Brown could improve his game but probably not soon enough.

frankly that might be all we need with the other post guys we have (assuming MK is in the mix). shot disrupter/defender and rebounder and occasional trash dunk. Most teams have one guy like that and a post scorer.

Honestly, with our guards and what we will have at power forward in semi, ben moore, and tolbert and MK as a bonus we don't need any offense from the center position. If you got it great, but if he can be athletic enough to show on pick and rolls defensively and can rebound and get a few blocks a game that will be enough for us to be a sweet 16 team or better next year.

At one time had offers from these schools although I don't know if still committable:

Rhode Island
George Mason
Houston
Old Dominion
Oklahoma State
SMU
Tulsa

here's a pretty long highlite reel of Johnny Hamilton. He definitely is athletic and can play above the rim but his is skinny. Sometimes these tall guys can't get off the floor but Hamilton seems like he can really jump which makes him play even taller

Just watched that video, he seems athletic enough to get up and down the floor and could provide a rim protector and length against bigger bigs. Guy also seems to have decent vision and be an ok passer. That is all we need so I want him.

Here is how I see it…

Nic/Sed
Keith/Shake
Sterling/Ben E
Ben M/ Semi
MK/Tolbert

We are undersized but have both muscle and jump under the boards. We make do if we don't get a JC or transfer big. That's a pretty nice 10. By the time we get to the conference tourney those freshmen are essentially sophs and Semi should be up on the LB system. I like this team a whole bunch.

Tough to break down by position as most of the backcourt can play on or off ball and Keith can swing up and Ben E can swing down. Ben can play down too. All that said, that's the 10 right there w/Foster as a wildcard.

Unfortunately, tons of if's as other teams are killing Nic about SMU sanctions and the 5th year transfer rule. I've heard more than 1 coach say he's heading to the Big 10 next year. The key to this offseason is getting the penalty portion done and over so we can retain everyone

This is why I hope this team has a really good run….sweet 16 at least…this year so that MK and Nic get close enough to sniff a final four together.

It IS really tough to take those ten players and put them in traditional and singular roles. There will be teams (like Gonzaga) with big bigs that we just won't match up with next year. But we have the ability to be explosive on offense and lights out on D. I really hope Nic doesn't leave. Hopefully Jank keeps him in the fold.

I think LB will be able to keep people here so long as there is not a post season sanction. Family over everything.

That is horrifying.

I really hope we get our requisite hard slap on the wrist ASAP.

Hoop knows what the penalty is but that's not stopping other schools from lying
