Until we have all the facts, its only speculation what rules he violated. Could be some NCAA BS violation which there are plenty of those and nothing serious. My guess is he made contact via twits and Facebook during the head period of something really serious as that.

Can you blame him? Once he realized there was recruiting/coaching without over-head projectors, he thought the world was his oyster...

Hey lots of you guys were mad when the guy left and wanted him retained. Unanswered prayers I suppose...

They might just punish us because they cannot punish a Big State School

Here's a link to an espn article on it:

Only thing about UCLA I am really focused on though is beating them in hoops on Thursday.

Makes me even more appreciative of the fact that we have Morris.

Since SMU has a basketball coach on a leave of absence that is being investigated by the NCAA we probably should not throw stones at this point.

Excellent point. That nobody saw the parallels to Maligi is kind of funny.

And remember, people were taking the "sky is falling" view against SMU when Maligi took a leave of absence. If anything, this incident shows SMU is handling the Maligi matter appropriately.

Klemm, like a lot of good recruiters, skirts the edge of what is within the NCAA rules. I don't think that started at UCLA.

Regardless of where it started I think it is best to just stay low key until the SMU issues are resolved.

That is correct. Maybe he can bring a few big linemen and Wariboko to transfer
