I just saw it - wow this says a lot. We need to make sure our current students know about this and let them rip the DMNs on social media. It could be quite entertaining!

Yes, it's still there. Lots of pro SMU anti DMN comments below it too with no response from the DMN since its initial post. The title of the article is: NCAA tournament central: "Everything you need to know about SMU, Texas, Baylor, other area teams", and the DMN initial post is: "Shhh ... Don't tell your friends that you're not pulling for SMU. It can be our little secret." WTH?

If a Star Telegram writer wrote this crap about a Horned Frog team they would be better off in ISIS captivity than hang out in Fort Worth.

No way that's "humor"!

If they wanted humor, I would have left out the "not" as if it might seem embarrassing to cheer for SMU. This just sounds degrading in my opinion.

Yeah what could be funnier than encouraging readers not to cheer for the hometown team that has been the hottest ticket in town in the NCAA tournament.

Typical for the DMN though. Screw them. If we win enough they'll fall in the line with the rest of the bandwagoners in this city.

Crazy. Just have to shake your head on this one. Almost seems a little desperate.

Cancel all subscription to the paper on campus plus the 1500 - use social media . That would be a nice boycott.

People! I guess that newspapers matter less and less these days. Don't you all know that the DMN is practically the house newsletter for all things UT? The are run by an oranger than Bevo family of UT alums and have been for many decades deep into the last century. Their editorial slant has ALWAYS been one of disdain for SMU athletics. Go back and look at their role in the media feeding frenzy regarding our recruiting scandals in the 70s and 80s. Yes, many of you younger ones don't remember that we were hit with major infractions more than a decade before the DP and the DMN was front and center in making sure that the public's right to know was upheld. All the while they somehow missed the bigger story in Austin: UT football players had taxpayer funded jobs working at a non-existent capitol basement printing press. DMN dropped the story when UT officials assured them that all was kosher and that there was nothing to worry about. The Statesman courageously and boldly found a way to ignore the story and Saint Darrell Royal's image was not tarnished.

Gosh. Does it bother the DMN folks so much that Baylor and SMU, but not UT, are both in final AP Top Twenty?

I would call this morning and cancel my subscription if I had one.
