I hope we do A LOT of 11 on 11 full team scrimmages/simulated games during camp. Actually being prepared in all facets of the game for the first game would be nice. (only time I recall seeing it that way was when we played Tech a few years back but even then we got worn out by the 4th quarter - was VERY much a winnable game).

2013 game vs tech at home was definitely winnable, it was 16-20 up to the 4th quarter.

Rebel10 wrote:Every year I read the practice reports on here I would think the team would go undefeated. They were kind of worthless to some degree imo anyway. Good move by the coaches. In honor of PP and PF practice reports I will be giving my Faux PF Practice Report. Here is today's PP like report.

Offense

QB's - Looked good. Had tight spirals on most of the throws.

RB's - Line is the best RB in the history of the school.

WR's - Receivers were getting open all practice long. Several impressive catches made today.

OL - O linemen were not letting anyone get to the QB. And the RB's were making big runs all practice due to the large holes that the O linemen made for them.

Defense

D Line - Defensive line was getting to the QB all say. Looked good.

DB - DB's did not let receivers get open at all practice.

LB's - Linebackers were cover backs out of the backfield very well and stuffing the run all practice.

Special teams

Returners did well on punt and kickoff return getting the ball to the 40 yard line most every time.

Punt and kick return defense did well too not allow anyone to get past the 20 yard line.

Next report will be Monday.

So, let me get this straight.

You are going to complain about people who volunteer their time to go and observe practice and share those observations with those who can't attend.

And you are going to complain that they focus on players that are doing things well instead of ripping on players who attend our university when they struggle.

And all you can do is celebrate when they aren't allowed to do it anymore?

Did you ever stop and think that MAYBE PP has a great relationship with players and their parents that is formed when he puts together the recruiting roundup? And that he views them as people instead of warm bodies meant to hurl insults at?

Did you ever stop and think that MAYBE those practice reports were simply intended to report information rather than dive into editorials?

There are a lot of classless people on the internet, but well done on sinking to the bottom by calling out a free website that volunteers time and is staffed by nice people.

Yes - we totally hung with Tech that day. I really thought we were going to finish that one off.

Pads...pads...since when are we allowed to wear those at practice?!? Next thing you know they will be doing full contract drills....for the love of all things holy, someone please stop these people...their reckless actions might actually lead to a competitive football team at our beloved alma mater, or even, dare I say, a conference tile one day!!!!
