Watching him play, he is obviously a couple of steps ahead of everyone else on the field athletically. You can tell that because the game is so slow for him that he just watches what is going on, reacts to it, and goes and makes a play.

Kind of interesting to watch how he lines up. A lot of times, if you have a really athletic corner, you see them man up tight. He doesn't do that. He has a quick enough accelerate that they play him off the line, so that he keeps plays in front of him and can rush in and make a play. It almost looks like a hybrid safety/corner mix especially when he is playing deep.

8 Interceptions and about 125 yards in Interception returns. Another TD in KO Defense. Should make First Team All Greater Houston-probably our best shot for a freshman starter in Defensive Backfield next year.

George Ranch leading 28-17 at Half-you can actually watch this game online at link. I tuned in near end of 1st Half and Onu immediately made a great play. With 9 seconds left in First Half at the Ranch 18 yard line vista Ridge tried to pull a Flanker reverse pass with the flanker throwing a pass to Onu's side. You could see Onu read it perfectly and come off his man to take the designated receiver coming into his zone and nearly intercepted the ball. It was a well designed play defeated by a great Onu read and reaction

I've just watched about 5 minutes of this game but every time I turn it on Onu makes a great play. This time he came up with I believe his 9th Interception of the season and gets about a 25 yard return as well

Only question I have watching him play is that he plays the corner position more like a safety. With his tackling ability, he may be more of a fit at safety. Obviously opportunities to come in and play, but I'm not sure about the adjustment time it will take for him to move from the outside to the middle of the field.
