Ucla sweeps SMU 25-20, 25-22, 25-16. SMU is now 7-2.

Sounds like our volleyball program is really improving. I know UCLA is always very good at volleyball. No shame in losing to them.

Yeah, Ucla is definitely one of the elite programs. It was great for our team to have a chance to play them.
Overall, it was a nice weekend with a win over San Diego. That one could be big come selection day.

Sounds like the girls did great. Did UCLA win the tournament then? /Was that the invitational's championship game?

Yes, Ucla won the tournament.
All of the games are scheduled in advance, so the champion is just the one who ends up with the best record. It is nice when the final game is in effect a championship game though.

Acker was named to the UC Santa Barbara All-Tournament team after guiding SMU to a 2-1 record - including match ups with a pair of top-20 ranked teams. The senior setter produced a pair of double-doubles and eclipsed 40 assists twice in three matches. Acker dished out a game-high 44 helpers in a 3-1 win over No. 18 San Diego. The Poth, Texas native opened the tournament with 47 assists and 15 digs in a four set win vs. host UC Santa Barbara and concluded the weekend with 28 assists and 11 digs against No. 17 UCLA. On the year, Acker leads SMU (7-2) with 11.59 assists per set.
