Speaking of other teams, I am astounded, although I should not be, that the former starting point guard for Arkansas found passing counterfeit $50s in Fayettville, was put into a drug probationary program. If he keeps his nose clean for I believe it is 6 months all will be forgiven. Even though the program is designed for drug offenders they say it has been used for other crimes in the past.

Coach Anderson says the young man will be ineligible for the first semester and be ready to play in the second.

The other two who were not contributors to the team apparently are not given the same opportunity, or at least it has not been reported as such.

The McQuaid vs Emelogu thing looks like a bad trade now, but i would have done it then. Ben was really damn good at Va Tech. You win some, you lose some. Mostly, I'm bummed about us messing up the Vick recruitment.

How did we mess that up? Told him to re-classify and tried to stash him? I figured it was out of SMU's control. He blew up, made grades, jumped back to '15, and signed with a blue blood.

Arkansas lost at home to Akron. Interesting to see Jimmy Whitt playing for Arkansas. He had six points, shooting only 1-of-6 from the field. If I remember correctly, we recruited him pretty hard, and he took one of his officials to SMU.
