Yes I did, I'm just stating my personal observation. Don't get me wrong, I will not complain when they come to the hill top. A school can have other draws aside from football, I was speaking strictly from the standpoint of the longevity of a coach like that at those kind of schools.

I just mean for instance I wouldn't get all jazzed up about playing for Tom herman at uh when it's obvious he had a foot out the door the moment he walked through it

So since you know we care in a similar situation would you get jazzed up about playing for Coach Morris?

Good hire for them. I'm sure they will set all kinds of offensive records....... in his very first game.

Good hire for UNT.

If I'm the coach I think this is a good opportunity as well.

Mean Green just got better.

He wants to be a head coach and has confidence in himself, just like Chad has by coming here.

Good hire by UNT. Something to file away is that he may be getting out before Boykin leaves...

I think Meachum would have been a fine head coach somewhere else. It is unfortunate that his coaching career had to end like this.

The great Hayden Fry might think it was a good move by Meachum.

That was then but this is now. Like I said, it is unfortunate that his career had to end like this.

With their standards and location, UNT should be a relatively simple turn around job. Get some head coaching experience with the chance to turn around a terrible program in a soft league with a weak schedule. Stuff like this never works for anyone...like those idiots in the MAC who never get a shot off a few successful seasons.

More so than herman if only for the fact that there is obviously much more room for early pt and because of that he may stick around longer. But there is the academic and location appeal of smu..not to mention the girls. What the school lacks in football talent it more than makes up for with the female talent 8)

But if I were a recruit, I'd consider other options first certainly. Not that I was talented enough to be recruited at a d1 level

EDIT: that's assuming that more than mid level p5 schools were after me**

If that is the case he should stay at TCU.
