Acknowledging that we have challenges ahead is not mutually exclusive with enjoying the ride. Understanding and discussing your flaws and wanting to improve on them isn't being negative, it's what champions think about incessantly. But, criticism! Circle the wagons!

You at one time started a club or group to cheer the Mustangs. You have morphed into a fan that could mentor Ponysnob. I just want you to try and enjoy some of the positive and see that there are some good things happening with our programs. At your young age you will burn out quickly with the bitterness.
And I mean no disrespect with this. I just want you and everyone to enjoy what we have while it is happening and hope to all a Merry Christmas.

I for one am savoring every victory, enjoying every day between games, and taking pride in what the team is doing. But you others be sure to keep the world in balance by nitpicking every negative you can out of a perfect season so far.
I totally agree .
To complain about disrespect and the news media and come on man.
The only thing that matters is now - the more wisdom you gain the more you know it's the truth

In related news today a man was thrown under a bus and left for dead. Pony Snob is survived by a few of his friends on PF's

Ponysnob is an icon. His pessimism is talked about throughout the universe. Just like there can be no love without hate, God without Satan, there can be no optimism and hope without Ponysnob

Every ying needs a yang.
PS has world class negativism, and always makes me feel like i am a hopeless optimist.
Wouldn't be the same board without him.

Merry Christmas Mrydel. You are very insightful. We have a great team - maybe the best that has ever played at SMU. I have enjoyed them to the nth degree and look forward to the rest of the
season. Every game is a reward - they are fun to watch. Love the drama of having Larry come
back from perdition and the respect and admiration of the team greeting him in the locker room.
Jank was fantastic and will continue to be a loyal and skilled assistant to Larry until he is
needed full time. It is wonderful to be 11-0.
As you discussed - there are lots of little negatives that we could focus on but it is much
more satisfying to soak up the good and forget the bad. It is what it is and we have already
weathered most of the storm. Keep on driving, jamming, rebounding, and defending. The
team is awesome.

Truth is the basketball world will forget us immediately before March madness regardless, so it would be nice to go undefeated for as long as possible to get some attention for the players and SMU. I am hoping we make it through at least January - we could be the only one if we can make it that long.

The bubble will burst most assuredly but I can't think about that now. I am old and it has been long since being able to have a spotlight shine on us as it is right now.
And my early remark was not intended to be to one person but rather all, simply to say let's enjoy what we have while we can.
Happy Christmas...Merry New Year.
