I don't think I can remember another basketball or football player at SMU who has generated such a mixed reaction among the faithful. This thread reinforces that.

I'm not sure what caused Keith to suddenly drop out mid-season, but I hope he does well. If its the best thing for him and for SMU, then I'm not mad at the kid.

maybe it was his inept decision making on the court and his pi$s poor shot selection. or perhaps it was him scurrying off at the first sign of competition from a freshman at the 2 spot

@BillyEmbody

Keith Frazier's departure from #SMU is related to "personal reasons," which include playing time and starting, sources tell @SMUScout.

Heard he and his handlers were upset about losing playing time/starting spot, confronted LB and LB said he was going with the hot hand. Handlers have convinced Keith he can go pro after locking down Levert so they want LB to find him a team (China?).

if true... what a Pu$$y!

So he ditches LB and then asks him to help find a team?

Put me in the pro KF camp, but glad it is all over with. I hope he does well whenever he ends up, but it is good this thing did't drag out any longer than it did. Best for all.

The Magnificent 7 will carry on and beat Cinci. Now they have an additional chip on their shoulder to keep them motivated. These guys will be very tight for the rest of their lives from this experience.
