I agree w/ JasonB. I think there will be some cutting of perceived "dead weight" by both the MAC and the MWC to try and catch up to the AAC as the 6th conference. Either that or the AAC raids the MWC and kills off any possibility of another G5 conference being in the same conversation.
West - SDSU, Boise State, Colorado State, AFA
South - SMU, Houston, Tulsa, Memphis
East - East Carolina, South Florida, Central Florida, Tulane
North - UCONN, Temple, Navy, Cincinnati

With TV Contracts likely to shrink as people cut the cord with cable companies, no conference is going to add more mouths to feed unless there is a compelling reason (Despite what OU President David Boren thinks).
While it is not a P5 conference, the AAC is shaping up to be a decent conference.
If we did make a change, BSU, SDSU, and CSU aren't going to be net gains from a revenue perspective.

She has been all over the news talking up a "possible" move to the B12.

Has there ever been an article anywhere about SMU's intention of trying to get into a P5 conference or being mentioned as a candidate (post creation of the AAC)?

No, SMU went down that road before and it backfired. Things are now being done the right way.

It has been a bad week in CT (GE is leaving). To distract people from the train wreck that is the state budget, the idiot governor and his cronies are trying to bamboozle voters into thinking that Uconn is a viable B12 candidate.

Cord cutters are going to blow up the p5 conferences. Alabama and Notre Dame will just start charging $10 to watch each game, and that will be that.
