Why is this the case, these guys still covet these tickets and camp out overnight. Why aren't they showing up now?

One risk for UConn is students leaving early for spring break.
Perkins prof told me he estimates that 10% of SMU students go to church every Sunday. More go to One28 midweek.
How many are really hungover? I think it's the opponent and 1:00 slot. Doubt many AAC mates draw well for ECU.

It will be - Nick, Markus, and JT will go out in pure pandemonium! Some of us can remember the crowd at the CIT tournament - we have a lot to be thankful for right now. And, next year - BOOM!!!

why blame anything on the UConn loss? Our fair weather fans had their excuse for checking out after the perfect season ended in Philly with the loss to Temple. After all, why should anyone support a team that actually loses games?

losing the Blizzard game to Temple and on the road at UCONN were not bad losses. Losing at Houston and at home to Tulsa were. Probably cost us the regular season championship.

If you're an athlete being recognized at an athletic event AT YOUR SCHOOL, could you at least make the effort to dress appropriately? Equestrian looked sharp in their blue. Womens swimming looked spirited in their championship apparel, mens swimming looked good...but some of our scholar athletes looked like they just crawled out from under the viaduct. Each of those students
could have worn something
SMU. Important or not important?

As a student, I can say that our enthusiasm really took a hit with the tourney ban (and right or wrong the decision not to appeal it). Sophomore and Junior year if you weren't at the pick up by 8pm the night before, you weren't getting the middle section. This year I've been showing up at 6:30 am and still getting the same tickets. Looks like maybe 10 people camp out, but that's about it.

Yeah, I pointed that out. Thought that was pretty friggin sorry, for those teams honored....to show up just in time to get to get their ovation....and then leave immediately afterwards.
I'm sure the basketball players have attended plenty of Soccer, Equestrian, Rowing, Tennis and Golf events this year and should feel slighted that those student athletes did not stay for the entire game. Perhaps they had to go back to the dorms to be sure to keep their 3.0s.

The Mob needs a coach, staff, and set expectations.

We need Sheldon Cooper to come up with

Absolutely but a lot of the student athletes left after halftime. Weak sauce.
