From start to finish, Keith was and is responsible for his own actions.
As I am typing this I am listening to the story about Jamari Traylor from Kansas. That is a kid who has made the most of the opportunities that were presented to him.
Whatever happens to Keith will be a result of the choices he made, not the "school system."

"Denton police receive a call for a disturbance at a local bar.The Denton police were called at 1:45 a.m. to respond to a fight at the Tavern, 121 Avenue A. The UNT police responded, determined Frazier caused the disturbance and detained him"This young man appears to be lost.
Somebody needs to do an intervention soon.
I hope he can grow up or it will not be a pretty picture 10 years down the road.

I'm still amazed that a basketball player that can't dribble was a McDonald's All-American.

Please add: play defense, basketball IQ, team player, O and D concepts and leadership as missing elements. This leaves us with gunner as his only attribute and successful gunner that only happened in 3 games in his SMU career.

This victim narrative is getting old. Keith did what was best for him and missed an opportunity to change his life. Still has a shot, but I'll take the under. Probably not much chance based on his family situation.
SMU took a chance on an academic risk, because we needed to at the time. We thought we could skate through it and didn't quite get there.
Both used the other.
And by the way, he ended up being one of our better defensive players. I'll think he'll do fine at UNT, but will derail somewhere along the way

Yea I know, but it still begs the question....why does he continue to listen to that guy when he had Coach Brown? Shows a real lack of judgment and is really disappointing. Reminds me of the old saying, "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink."

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/06/sport ... .html?_r=0I can't disagree with very much in the NYT piece. I agree that at some point KF should have listened to Coach Brown rather than others. I also believe that, in the abstract, KF was responsible for his actions, but in real terms the lure of the promises of "the system" is too much to overcome for a lot of kids.
I do wish KF the best and hope he can get past his present situation.
