That's what Chad & Co are going to have to do if we are going to become competitive against our old SWC mates again

Exactly. Trying to remember how many times on PFs when we were playing ex-SWC mates, posters claimed we would win.
Let's see.....
Tech has 80+ players with superior offers to SMU
SMU has 5 players with offers equivalent to the typical Tech recruit
And it's any surprise we got slaughtered?

Surprised Stallion hasn't had more to say on this thread given that this is the highest-rated recruit of the Morris regime so far. Seems like a fantastic pick-up if he sticks

Stallion says Rivals rankings are bogus, so he's not really a 4-star, just a plain ole' 3-star.

If I had a guy named "Ali" on my team, I would certainly figure out a way to find a "Frazier" to go with him.

We had a "Marquis" player named Frazier.

Yes he was our designated "Down Goes Frazier" ( due to his chronic injuries)

There's kind of an unwritten rule in recruiting that its hard to break into a new higher level of player. But, once accomplished the next (player on that level) becomes easier to pick up. (Good players attract other good players) I think Alan Ali might be on that new higher level. I hope this (unwritten rule) is validated and fulfilled during this 2017 class. We shall see...

Fantastic pickup! Great that the 4* commitment is so early and can pay dividends all season.
