My prevailing thought watching the qb performances was.. If you self identify as a qb, shouldn't it go without saying that, in general, you're able to throw the ball somewhat accurately at the person to whom you're throwing? Does DBU recruit pitchers who can't throw strikes?

Welcome to the SMU QB controversy. Rotate guys through the first 4 games until somebody separates themselves? Stick with Davis as the veteran? Should be interesting to see how Morris the offensive guru handles this one.

$5 says we:
1) recruit at least 1 freshman for the 2017 class, plus
2) add a Transfer after Spring practice. While he will have to sit out the Fall, he'll be ready to step up in the Fall if Hicks doesn't step up.

If yesterday is any indication, we are in big, big trouble if Matt goes down with an injury!

Colbert didn't look bad last year in his limited sample size so maybe not.

Maybe four QBs would be a better option.

Coach Chad stated in his post Spring Game interview we have 25 incoming freshman.

How many of those incoming freshman are QB's?

Was there and ho hum. Feel Morris/crapdock and Mathis in way over their heads. It's amazing how a guy is GA one day then a D1 OC the next. Kinda like Mathis straight out of high school to D1 rb coach.

Looks like we are 4-5 years away from 500. Lucky to win 2-3 this year. I don't see Morris sticking around for more then 2 more years.

Feel bad for those Pony players

And who is hiring the sub-.500 SMU coach away from us at $2+ mil/yr? Or are we firing him and paying a buyout? I feel sorry for you and your lack of perspective and vision. Also, do you really think Morris is not running the offense? And do you really not see the reasoning behind hiring proven and respected tx hs coaches? Calling this a bust 15 months in is a pu$$y way of seeing what's going on.

What a bunch of crap-SMU's offense improved about as much as any team in the Country last year. When QBs overthrow and underthrow their receivers that bad it has very little to do with Coaching schemes. What I saw was 3 great new Offensive threats in one Spring Game-Thomas, Honey and Proche-that's outstanding

I hope you are right. Been watching for 20 years. Coaches and team look average at best in size and speed. That coupled with the inexperienced coaches to me spell doom.

Coach Morris seems like a nice guy but ended up been hype without substance. Crapdock and Mathis seem way out of their league. Wish Morris would of actually hired proven talented coaches.
