I don't think a long-standing, well-known protege of the guy they're canning would be the wisest PR move. Even if Chad's of a much higher moral fiber.

Since Montgomery was on the Baylor staff when the sexual assaults occurred he will probably not be in consideration for the job. I think they go after Herman or Morris.

Would recruits be forced to stay or would they be allowed to change schools?
Must be something big behind the report to get rid of Briles.

No one is touching a coach with a 2-10 record

Baylor expected to make defensive coordinator Phil Bennett interim coach, per source. Kendall Briles to remain on staff as of now.
There is nothing you can pin on Briles that cannot be pinned on Bennett, unless you want to argue Briles didn't supervise Bennett or give him support in dealing with these issues. Lots of these players were defensive players.
And it is a moot point, but that was the only argument you could make to keep Briles and can Ken Starr. Somehow, Starr failed to manage Briles and make Briles aware of the school's responsibilities and create an environment of Title IX compliance. However, the odds of that flying were nill.

So...can we please announced the IPF plans now? Please?!?
And for all those about to pontificate, that's a question/statement from the provider of that $10-a-month information.

BS-he may not top the list but there are plenty of people at Baylor that know exactly how great Morris will be. Come on

Baylor already has a pretty nice IPF so he would not have to beg for one there.

Thomas JonesΓÇÅ @ThomasJonesAASRumors have already started about former @LTHSCavFootball coach and current SMU coach Chad Morris moving down to Waco.

Hiring Morris would be way too smart for Baylor to pull off. They all think they should hire Saban.
The question is who is going to do the hire? AD going to survive this?

Other than TE Tevin Elliott, every one of these incidents was by a defensive player. But Bennett gets to be interim coach?
