Chad taking the "say something nice about our week 2 opponent" thread seriously.

Chad says USF game will be dedicated to raising awareness to sexual violence and domestic violence. We are currently the only program to do that and we want to be the leaders amongst college football programs in raising awareness

Chad's keys to success against Baylor:

1) Get as many SMU fans to Waco as we can
2) Take one day at a time, control what we can control
3) Give great effort
4) Win the turnover margin
5) Make a difference on special teams

Some notes from tonight:

Right off the bat, Rich Phillips addressed the elephant in the room, and said “let’s talk about injuries.” Chad Morris talked about how Matt Davis is a great kid, leader, etc., and then says that Matt is “a game-time decision” for this Saturday.

Some other things he said:

ΓÇó Xavier Jones’s hamstring issue was a cramp, not a strain, and will be OK.
ΓÇó SMU will be the only school in the country dedicating a game to raising awareness of sexual assault.
ΓÇó Darrion Millines and Horace Richardson are seniors, played like seniors should play, and now are tasked with teaching some of their younger teammates in the secondary how to play like seniors.
ΓÇó Team is young — maybe younger than last year. Something like 31 of the 47 players he has signed have played already.
ΓÇó Evan Brown did a good job at center, leading the offensive line, etc.
ΓÇó To bolster the offensive line, Tony Richards is back at tackle.
ΓÇó In an ideal world, he wants 15 offensive linemen on scholarship.
ΓÇó Terry Gambill, the coach at Waco's Midway High School, did a great job getting Ben Hicks “college-ready.”

Great showing at humperdink's. We had almost the whole restaurant filled. I would encourage others to show up. They had good drink deals and the food is pretty decent. We had maybe 80-90 fans there, pretty cool. Would be great to pack the place. Chad was very appreciative of those in attendance.

yeah, I won't be wearing white

man I love the Chad...hope we can hang onto him for a few more years to get this thing rolling!

We are wearing all white uniforms at their 'whiteout.' I like it. Some of their fans in their board noticed the same. They call it the storm trooper look.

If we use white numbers also we could be more deceptive .
