It would give them markets/recruiting ground dominated by other schools. UT and A&M are the only schools in the state that would make a dent for any conference and one has already made their "100 year decision".

So you're saying another conference wouldn't want to be playing at least one game in Houston or Dallas each year that would provide them exposure to Texas kids all because other schools already recruit there and are the current dominate players? Interesting. I would think that would be one of the few pluses of adding either school. Considered me on board with SMU and UH bring little to negative value for any P5 conference.
