We will see what we have Thursday.
Well our brand is pretty small, we have a small fanbase, our enrollment is small. Winning over long periods can definitely help with the first two.
Well we have seen we can have great crowds and student sections in past years, but haven't had as good this year. Not bad crowds if you compare other teams who arent blue bloods or top 20 teams, but would love to get back to that rockin venue for UConn and UH, like it was last year.
This is first conference game with potential for students. I'm guessing ifc has figured out how to adjust their schedule. Saturday is bid day right? So no excuse there. Preparty, they hate houston like the rest of us.
Our students have been fine this year We haven't had a huge game at home except TCU - and they came out pretty big for that game. They have been out for a long time.

We don't and can't compete with the larger public schools attendance wise. That's why Moody has been down-sized from 10,000 capacity in my day to it's current 7500. We don't need any more than that
I know I'm somewhat of a marketing sniper if not guru, but I recommend a 'Free Coke' game. Put small customized Mob mirrors on every seat and all beverages come w/a McDonalds size straw

A guess, based solely on knowledge of how SMU works:
"We usually give a month for break...let's start classes January 16." "WE CAN'T DO THAT...that's MLK Day!" "OK, then the 17th..." "I teach a M/W/F course and you are asking me to lose a class day? Heck no!" "...the 23rd it is..."
Yeah, Baylor started spring semester last week. Needed their support for tonight's game vs UT.
The number in front of the team is huge.
I doubt TCU has huge crowds during the break. They have a bit more in-state students but they aren't locals and aren't driving across the Metroplex to watch a hoops game unless it's vs. Kansas, Baylor or maybe UT.
