Yeah that was 2011. Seems silly now but it sure was a lot of fun then!
Still think we would've won it if Papa hadn't been injured on that hard (cheap) foul.

I believe that you have to pay an entry fee to play in those tournaments. No use in wasting money for a team that obviously quit on Tubby weeks ago.

Yeah $50,000 entry fee for a few meaningless games

Clemson goes down on their home court against Oakland. Big ouch for the ACC.

Boise and Cal Bakersfield both winners so hopefully they keep winning to help justify our scheduling a bit. Of course, none of that matters if we don't win. Meanwhile, the fighting Pastner's of Ga Tech were the only ACC team to win yesterday with Syracuse game postponed

"This year’s NIT features a couple of odd quirks with respect to the rules. Each half is divided in two segments, and any team fouling five or more times in a segment gets to watch its opponent shoot two free throws. Also, the shot clock begins at 20 seconds any time the ball is inbounded in the front court"
These are interesting rule changes.

They like to "test drive" new rules in the NIT to see if they are worthwhile. That is how we got the 30 second [deleted] clock down from 35 and the extended "no charge" zone under the basket.

Yes, LB did not like the 30 second shot clock experiment at all, but it didn't seem to change the game IMO.

Apparently you don't like the 30 second shot clock.
