If it is true that the committee tries to put higher seeds closer to home there is your answer. We were the " highest six seeds of the six seeds." Playing in Tulsa was our reward for winning both regular season and the tourney.

Kansas State did not look very good last might imo. I think both USC and Providence are better than Kansas State.
