Re: For those fans that were @ Tulsa...
It was an amazing crowd. lots of SMU love from non graduates, which is exactly what we all know has to happen. I saw many people there in full SMU gear that are in no way affiliated with our school as graduates. Just like the team and pro Dallas teams.
If semi comes back we have a program and some running room - its really more important than whether we go out this game or the next.

I was proud to be a part of it. I have had a little to root for since I started attending games in 1970 as a local SMU fan not a graduate. I have never seen anything with more SMu excitement and travelled fans. Thanks to all for showing up. Thanks to that team my heart breaks for and to the great ride this season. As a former player I feel bad for Ben Moore. It's something you never forget and lose sight of all the great contributions he made to this program. I love ya Ben, win or lose.

No, I wasn't disappointed.
Gutshot better describes it.

If you were at the Holiday Bowl, Louisville, and Tulsa there is a special reward for you in Sportsfan Heaven.

Re: For those fans that were @ Tulsa...
The showing in Tulsa yesterday was the most engaged, encouraging, and intelligent SMU sports crowd we have had in ages in all sports - probably post-DP.
There were definitely more people actively rooting for the Ponies and not being there to be seen than at any football game in forever.
So great to see, and such a shame for yet another heartbreaking loss cuz it would have been even more epic tomorrow.
And also I am sure everybody shared a beer or more in misery with fellow Ponies at the hotels and restaurants in Tulsa last night. We are a strange yet close family. So proud to be a Mustang.
Time to start the countdown to the first basketball game in 2017. Can't wait.

Upon leaving Louisville, the first familiar face I saw the morning after was Top Twenty at the American gate at the airport.
Yesterday, one of the first people I made eye contact with after the final buzzer was.. Top Twenty.
One of these days the worm will turn.

And, yes, what a stunning turnout...spread everywhere throughout a huge arena. Far more for our game than Baylor's.
Has anybody noted on here that we quickly sold out our merchandise?

Sitting in the upper deck, it was beautiful watching the huge SMU crowd responding to the team. Maybe if we had yelled just a tad bit louder.

Long live Inez Perez!

If anyone was at those events I would respectfully request you stay home in the future.

LOL.....absolutely! PLEASE don't jinx us again!
The crowd yesterday was a win for sure even though the game wasn't. I never believed that many fans would make the trip and I was so proud when we rocked that place.
