Man, I hope not. Could be a very special season if he returns.

I still think that if he leaves as a possible second round pick, it is an indication that we haven't been able to pick up transfer bigs. Playing as a 4/5 won't do anything to help his draft status. To move up in the draft, he needs to spend some time at the 3.

And we might need to prepare ourselves for an NIT bid.

This is where losing out on JW3 kills us

Last I heard he was pretty intent on letting the combine and full draft process tell him where he stood before he made up his mind. And wasn't leaning toward going, but that is over a week old info. Could now be leaning towards going now, not sure, but I don't he is committed either way. Doubt he knows enough yet.

I think preparing for the NIT before we even know what next years roster will look like is a little pre-mature.. there are plenty of scenarios without Semi we are a tournament team. The ceiling definitely lowers though.

I think you need to take everything that was in the post with which I made the comment about - i.e. with everything JasonB said regarding no transfer bigs and Semi leaving but thanks for being selective in quoting.

I know they were talking about redshirting Jahmal McMurray with Jimmy Whitt and Shake being in the backcourt. But if Semi Leaves, you would have to assume that this changes things....

I mean, wouldn't we be talking playing Fricken Jarrey some at the 4 haha?

Guard Heavy... Shake, Gu, Whitt, Jarrey, McMurray, Douglas.

Big minutes for the two Frosh Forwards? Or do we just stick 4 guards out there?

A lot of ways this can go. I still hold out hope Semi comes back. If he does then watch out. Pointless to speculate given all the options until 1)we see who we add 2)if Semi stays or goes

I hadn't heard about redshirting McMurray, interesting. Mostly had heard he would be eligible and play at the end of the first semester in December. I doubt he redshirts, unless he asks to be redshirted.

If Semi leaves I wouldn't be shocked to see Jarrey play some small ball 4(like KU did with Josh Jackson this year), but the frontcourt pieces are still VERY much in motion.
