another good outing for him; played 21 minutes (highest sub minutes behind Jabari Parker) and hit 3-5 threes and 2-2 FTs. Added an assist but also had a turnover as Bucs beat Knicks in Milwaukee.

We had to sit out, pretty much sums up SMU athletics. First, we self report, then we limp wrist our defense, then we don't appeal, then we can't find a way to extend a HOF coach. We are not victims, we are only volunteers. We deserve everything we get.

Time to increase ticket prices! Those of you that are too stupid to not vote with your wallets, get everything you deserve--perpetual mediocrity!

Anybody else want to join the whine train? Where we are right now in basketball would have caused us to collectively wet our pants less than a decade ago. And not a little excitement for Dykes and what he's going to do here?

Post like this always confuse me... what do you think happens on a discussion board?

Yeah, our basketball team has taken leaps beyond what I thought possible a decade ago. I am beyond thrilled. Doesn't mean I'm going to always agree with everything. When I go to a game, I want to hear cheering and "homerism". When I'm on an internet discussion board, I'm pretty much expecting a bunch of poorly thought out whining followed by the requisite sanctimonious whining about that whining ad infinitum.

Sure, it'd be great if the board was full of hard-hitting, insightful posts, but if that was the standard I think pretty much all of us would be stuck w/ a "zero" post count.

But to get back to the whining: no, I'm not particularly excited for Dykes and I'm not sure why I'd bring him up on a post about Sterling Brown anyway.

Wasn't talking to you. I enjoy your contributions. Was specifically responding to Mexmustang's claim of "perpetual mediocrity" in basketball and generally to the "same old SMU" whiner posts that seem rampant on the boards of late.

Fair enough. Some people just aren't happy about anything.

Yeah cause that HOF coach had nothing to do with how it ended....

Anyone catch Sterling's clean shot at Lou Williams? Very convenient that he closed his fist right before impact

Semi played 32 minutes last night in the Celtics win at Utah, contributing 7 points and 4 boards. Despite missing numerous players, the Celts got the win and Semi had the assist on Jaylen Brown's game winner.

Makes me cringe a bit, but he'd have jacked his fingers up if he hadn't closed his fist...
