It's not uncommon for new coaches to pick their own guys. Besides, you hope that every coach thinks he can recruit offer what he inherited, right?

I am trying to tamp down my enthusiasm about Dykes & Co. but having a hard time of it. The opening half of this season will tell me a lot about SMU's future. Ever hopeful I remain.
