I will have to disagree. UNT is a team we should be playing every year home/home. The simple fact is that in the post SWC era, these teams have become local rivals. That is a pretty good UNT that smoked our guys last night and they should compete for the CUSA Championship this year. Our former rival, TCU, has left us in the rear view mirror, but as long as they will continue scheduling us, it gives SMU a chance to score a huge upset.

When I looked at this year's schedule, I will admit that Cincy was one of the games I had penciled in as a possible win. I assumed we beat HBU and that we would be competitive against Cincy and Navy this year. I'm going to stick with 4-8 because I think that UNT team is going to surprise some people this year and I still think we are going to be competitive against Tulsa, UConn and Tulane so I think 3 wins in conference play remains a possibility. I knew coming in that a loss at UNT, which I knew was VERY possible, would mean this year's team has very little chance of finding 6 wins and qualifying for a bowl game.

Tulsa may be a win.
Tulane looks competent against Wake Forest
